22nd March, 10:00am – 1:00pm with Victoria Squires
Join me, Victoria, on this informative workshop about the Art of Screen Printing. During the first half of the morning I will show you the different methods of printing to create crisp graphic designs onto paper or fabric. In the afternoon you will design your own screen and print it onto a tea towel, half a metre of fabric and/or heavy cartridge papers. There will be ample time to experiment with your designs and if you wish, mix them with my screens to create a wonderful array of prints. You will also be shown how to heat-set your designs so that they are washable. Your half a metre of fabric can then be made into lampshades, cushions or small gift items.
From 10:00am – 1:00pm. £45 for the session which includes materials.

18th April, 10:00am – 1:00pm with Victoria Squires
Do you long to get your sewing machine out but need some confidence in using the machine again? Maybe you have forgotten how to thread and set your machine up? Or you might just want some helpful advice on the best way to approach a project. This is the course for you. Even if you don’t have a sewing machine you can come in and Victoria will demonstrate on her two machines. She has been sewing for over 50 years. She has worked in both the interiors field and fashion design. We will make a small sachet and learn how to do simple appliqué designs. At the end of the morning you will have a cushion cover and a sachet to take home with additional samples to put in your notebook! Please bring some fabric with you although Victoria will have quite a bit to spare.
From 10:00am – 1:00pm. £35 for the session.
